How I Got Here

My interest in storytelling goes back as long as I can remember, beginning with my flagship neighborhood publication, The Avondale Gazette, in 2009 (shortly after my seventh birthday). My brother and I scoped out the most newsworthy stories around town, ranging from our next-door neighbor's new chickens to reviews of local restaurants.

Today, I pride myself on my ability to see stories all around me in my day-to-day interactions. A majority of my radio work is unplanned and simply arises from me passing by something I find interesting and starting to record my conversations. I believe audio storytelling has a special element that print can't capture – the power of human voice.
